One day excursion Fez, Volubilis, Molay Driss, Meknes

You will be picked up from the riad after your breakfast. Directly to the city of Volubilis. exploring the over 2000 years ruins and learning about Roman heritage and the marks that they left behind. Lunch break in Moulay Idriss; the next-door town, which is 6 Km away. one of Morocco’s holiest villages set on a sightseeing hill and famed for housing the tomb of Idris 1, Morocco’s first major Islamic ruler. After lunch you will be taken to Meknes, the 4th imperial city of Morocco. The journey will begin with the Berdaine and Khemis gates, which date from the 17th century. A stop at the Molay Ismail Mausoleum, then to the famous Bab El Mansour, El Hedim Square. Then we’ll drive you back to Fez.

One day excursion to the middle atlas through Imouzar, Ifrane, Azrou

You will be picked up from the riad after the breakfast. While leaving the city, the mountains of the middle Atlas begin to appear, on the road you can find farmers selling their daily picked up fruits and vegetables. Continue to Imouzer, which is the beginning of the Atlas Mountains, a pretty nice Berber city, where the most of Fassi people spend their summer holidays; as it is known for its nice and fresh weather. Then we will drive to Ifrane, also known as “Morocco’s Switzerland” because of its architecture and its snowy weather, where we will have the opportunity to stop for coffee or cappuccino and a walk through its wonderful streets. We will also visit the Stone Lion, which is located a few meters from the previous streets. During World War II, a German soldier created it in honor of the desperation of Atlas’s last lion. Ifrane is famous for its international university; Al-Akhawayn that was founded in 1995 by King Hassan II and Saudi King Fahd. It is a university that can only be afforded by the wealthiest. then drive to the cedar Gouraud forest, a woodland area in the middle atlas, which is notable for subpopulation of barbary Macaques’ monkeys, where you are going to be able to have a little walk through to meet the friendly Macaques. Then go to Azrou, a Berber city surrounded by cedar trees, spending sometimes touring around. Then lunch break in Azrou at one of the prominent restaurants, and returning to the riad in the evening.

Day trip to Chefchaouen

We’ll leave early for a three-hour drive to the city of Chefchaouen that is known as the blue city or the blue pearl, which is located in the heart of the Rif Mountains. This city is known for its unique lifestyle that represent Hispano-Moorish culture; it will make you feel like you’re taking a journey back to the ancient world. Directly to old medina of Chefchaouen, which is known for its narrow streets and alleyways painted in white and blue color, their habitants are so friendly always smiling and welcoming people. Then to Plaza Uta el-Hammam known as the highlight of the city, where everybody goes for a drink or a bite, it’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Then after a break we will continue to explore the city, visiting Kasbah Museum, which was founded in 1471. The Kasbah is today acknowledged as a notable monument that shows the period’s great power. The top of the museum is still a fantastic site for shooting the town’s Hispanic character, with its white and blue buildings, small balconies, tiled roofs, and porches shaded by citrus trees. a historical site famous for its spectacular 15th century Grand Mosque, is also a must-see. Then back to fez.

Half day Fez, Sefrou, Bhalil

You will be picked up from the riad. directly to Sefrou. Sefrou is located 22 kilometers south of Fez, at the foot of the Middle Atlas Mountains. It is a Millennium city and the Jewish capital of Morocco. The medina and the Mellah, which is the Jewish quarter, are enclosed by extremely ancient walls where Arabs and Jews lived together as neighbor’s door to door in harmony with mutual respect for many centuries, what we call true COHABITATION. Outside the walls, there lies the largest Jewish cemetery, as well as stunning cascades and gardens, you can really enjoy walking through the streets of this small city. Then we’ll go to Bhalil, which is situated on the side of a hill six kilometers from Sefrou and is a relatively good peaceful town surrounded by rocks and famed for cave homes that are still inhabited. You’ll not only be amazed by the caves, but you’ll also feel the warmth and kindness of these Berber (Amazigh) people. Then back to the riad in the early afternoon.
